Installation Instructions

Before moving on to installing the nightlies, here is the acknowledgment that this is not a final version, a ROM is continuously updated and will find bugs in the way, and not only incomplete features. Do not come here have come because they were already warned. If you do not want to try and be subject to defects, wait for a STABLE version.
Make backup of your phone before installing the ROM by clockwork recovery, ROM Manager or by any other means that you will be preferred.
Software Required:

    
* Mobile with Android 2.1 Official with ROOT

* ROM - (choose your version at the top page)
    
* Goggle Apps MDPI -

Note: The installation of CyanogenMod through these steps need ROOT on your mobile phone. If you do not know what it is, should probably give up here and look into the issue.
Installing the Recovery and ROM

   
1. Install ROM Manager through the market.
   
2. ROM in Manager, select "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery."
   
3. Choose "Commtiva Z71 (Boston and more).
   
4. Backup is still unrealized.
   
5. Copy the ROM to the memory card.
   
6. In ROM Manager choose "Install from sdcard ROM" and choose the rom you want.
Optional

   
1. To install Google Apps, return to the ROM Manager.
   
2. Select the. Zip of Google Apps you want.

It is necessary to wipe the mobile phone only for those coming from other ROMs, including the possible partitions APP2SD, since the android 2.2 have already built a similar system. To upgrade from versions of CyanogenMod do not need to wipe, unless problems arise with one of the builds.
Note: The first boot after installing the ROM takes a bit longer, so it's normal to be a minute or more in the main logo.


Troubleshooting
There have been some users who by reason still unknown who have problems installing the ROM via the ROM Manager. There is a way "manual" to install the ROM, but use only as a last resort. The requisites remain the same with the addition of the sdk. For those who want to try this alternative, here goes:

Software Required:

    
* Android SDK - developer.android.com / sdk / index.html
    
ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.1.3 * Z71 - koush.tandtgaming.com/recoveries/recover...work-2.5.1.3-z71.img
    
* ROM -
(choose your version at the top page)
    * Goggle Apps MDPI - gapps-mdpi-20101228-signed.zip

1) Installation Recovery:

   
1. Unzip the SDK at the root of disk C:
   
2. Place the recovery in c: \ android-sdk-windows \ tools
   
3. Connect the mobile device at fastboot (red + volume down + power)
   
4. Open a command prompt (cmd) and type "cd c: \ android-sdk-windows \ tools \"
   
5. Write "fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-2.5.1.3-z71.img"
   
6. Wait and reboot typing "reboot fastboot"
 


2) Installing the ROM:

   
1. Copy the ROM and Google Apps for SD.
   
2. Connect the mobile phone into recovery (Camara + volume up + power)
   
3. Back up the system, select "backup and restore" "" backup "
   
4. After the backup is done, return to the home menu and choose "install from zip sdcard"
   
5. Select "choose from sdcard zip" file and choose the ROM and expect to complete the installation after confirmation.
   
6. Select "choose from sdcard zip" file and choose the Google Apps and expect to complete the installation after confirmation.
   
7. Back to the home menu and to wipe the phone by selecting "Wipe data / factory reset." This is only required the first time you install MC. On subsequent updates, do not wipe.
   
8. Reset the phone to "reboot system now"
